Have you tried the NEW Artbooking Cricut collection yet? If not, then why not? I have been having tons of fun creating with my cartridge over the last seven months and decided that March is the perfect time to share great videos and artwork that use many of the images from the Artbooking cartridge.
PLUS I am going to make March even more exciting and offer a huge giveaway. I think everyone should have their very Artbooking Cartridge and I will make one very lucky person's day by giving away an Artbooking Cricut Collection at the end of the month. If you already own the collection then you can substitute with either the Art Philosophy or Artiste collections, or take $50 in Close to My Heart select product credit.
Be sure to go to my Giveaways Page and enter yourself--you never know you may be the lucky winner!
For this first day of March and my 31 Days of Artbooking I decided I wanted to share some artwork that I created this past summer for my Extravaganza class that I taught at the annual Close to My Heart convention. I was given the bold and bright Sarita paper kit and embellishments and was challenged to create as much artwork as I could with it. As an added bonus I got a sneak peak at the Artbooking Cricut Collection and even got to use the collection to create with. I love how Close to My Heart spoils us.
This layout uses the overlay key on page 84 in the Artbooking booklet and features my daughter Annaka. I can't believe how fast she has grown up--it seems like just a few years ago that she was just an active baby and toddler. Now she is 14 1/2 and on her way to becoming a young woman!
I love how easy this layout was to create and the overlay I used really adds some interest in the background. Usually I would have pulled a pattern piece of paper for the background but love the effect of the Lagoon cardstock peaking from behind the Outdoor Denim. I also used the Sarita Textiles, Sarita assortment, and Wood Mini-Medleys to create some beautiful fabric flowers and embellishments.
Be sure to check back tomorrow to see the next installment of 31 Days of Artbooking...!
