Close to My Heart New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to our Close to My Heart NEW Product Blog Hop. I know I am a little late to the party, but between getting ready for my Idea Book Premiere on Thursday night, and prepping for my classes this month I just couldn't squeeze any extra time in to get my post ready. I am thankful that I had until Sunday,August 4th to join however, and hopefully next month's entry can be right on time!

I had the privilege of being chosen to teach at our annual Close to My Heart convention in June and got a little extra time early this summer to play with tons of our new products. I was assigned Sarita which features a beautiful and bold color palette and I had tons of fun making different pieces of artwork for my presentation.

Supplies used: Sarita Paper Pack, Colonial White Cards and Envelopes, Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape, Baby Cakes Assortment, Base and Bling Teal Jewels, Base and Bling Word Accents,

Today's card features a technique that I learned from surfing on Pinterest and is a great way to stretch your supplies and only takes a few minutes to do. I am sure many of you have seen all the artwork lately featuring Washi Tape and while currently Close to My Heart only has a few patterns of Washi Tape, you can still create some fun pieces of artwork using a variety of patterns and colors of Washi tape.

PLUS learning and using this technique doesn't require you to run to the nearest store or go online to order some. You have in your paper stash a multiple of patterns and colors of Washi tape right at your fingertips!

Here is a scrapbook layout that I created also using the beautiful Sarita paper pack, the Artbooking cricut cartridge and I made my own Washi Tape for the strips on the right hand side.

Supplies used: Sarita Paper Pack, Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, Aqua Dots, Lagoon Houndstooth Washi Tape, Chantilly Textiles, Sarita Textiles, Stitch Guide, Base and Bling Word Accents, Base and Bling Purple and Pink Jewels
