Hooligans kit of the month

This month in my Cherish kit of the month clubs I am having my members order one of the NEW paper packs from the NEW Autumn/Winter 2010 Idea book called Hooligans to create for their class in October. I am just in love with this kit and how cute all the accessories are. If you want to see the layouts close-up just click on each picture and they will be enlarged in another window.

Plus I even had some left-over stickers and embellishments that I really wanted to use, so I added 2 pieces of extra Black card stock and was able to create an additional Bonus layout.I had these pictures from last Halloween and our annual pumpkin carving and thought they would look perfect with my left-overs. If you are interested in making the bonus layout be sure to have 2 extra pieces of Black card stock either from your stash or you can add them to your order.

The Basic kit includes:  Hooligans Level 2 paper pack (X7129B) , Hooligans Stickease (X7129C), Hooligans Felt stickers  (Z1332), and a color guide for only $23.85. The Deluxe Hooligans kit (G1012) includes all the products in the basic kit PLUS the exclusive "Troublemaker" stamp set, and Sunset Mini-Medleys (Z1338) for only $39.95.

Some other items you may want to add to your kit are:

Triple Play...

It's the start of September and that means school is back in session, the weather is beginning to get cooler, and the leaves are starting to change. September also means a celebration of National Stamping Month and Close to My Heart is again offering a great stamping kit special called "Triple Play." One's good, Two's great, and three's the best of all! Celebrate your love of stamping by using stamps to embellish three mini-albums from this adorable Triple Play kit. With inks, stamps, albums, and pre-cut accents for stamping you'll complete all three albums in a jiffy. Since each album has its own color scheme, all three are unique and ready for many different kinds of photos. Make one for yourself and two to give away--if you can bear to part with them!

In honor of National Stamping Month, you can get huge discounts on the Triple Play kit when you purchase My Acrylix stamps from your wish list and since the 2010 retired list has been posted, this is the perfect time to buy those stamp sets you've been wanting before they are GONE! If mini-books aren't your thing, then I created some other artwork to showcase this cute set. Thanks to inspiration from Helen I took the Outdoor denim book and  used our newest How-to book Magic and created a layout by only adding a few sheets of extra card stock.

Another consultant Gloria created a mini-card keeper that holds 6 cards also by adding a few extra pieces of colonial white card stock. So cute and a great idea for a stocking stuffer or teacher gift!

Now remember each kit contains enough materials to create 3 different mini-books or alternative projects and also includes a really cute exclusive stamp set called "Love This." Be sure to orders yours today as this special is only while supplies last and  will end on September 30th.

It'sThrillerTime!

Each month Close to My Heart offers an exclusive stamp set that is only available for that month and this month's thriller" stamp set is so cute. I had a lot of fun creating my card using the stamp set and I also am part of a swap with some other consultants and I thought I'd share some the artwork.

The first card was made by ME and I used several techniques such as Heat Embossing with the Versamark ink pad and Black Embossing Powder to create the cool skull. I also tried a technique called Faux Stitching that Tresa Black taught in one of her Ustream classes to create the look of stitching around some of the pattern papers. If you are in any of my Cherish clubs you will learn this technique SOON! Did you notice that I also took my sanding block and dulled the pattern on each of the pattern papers? I think my shiny, leathery bat is the coolest effect and all I did was stamp the bat on the back of Black card stock, cut it out with my micro-tip scissors, then layered a thick coat of Liquid Glass and then let it dry overnight.

CTMH products used are:  Thriller stamp set (D1442), Beware stamp set (D1381), Hooligans Level 2 paper pack (X7129B),  Olivia Level 2 paper pack (X7128B), Black ribbon rounds (Z1034), Basic Brads--Black (Z1218), VersaMark ink pad (Z891), Black Embossing Powder (Z670), Liquid Glass (Z679), 3-D Foam Squares (Z1151)

Here are some of the other projects that were created using this fun "Ed Hardy" looking stamp set.
